Joseph sat as Prime Minister and Head of Economic team of Egypt. Today Yemi Osinbajo a spirit filled brother sits as Vice President and Chairman of the National Economic Council.
It’s the first time a Vice President has been allowed to play this constitutional role in Nigeria.
In this role, he overseas several economic programs. One big example is the Social investment program with over  9 million beneficiaries including  8.2 million kids eating a free meal daily at schools. This program has served to cut down the number of out of school kids by over 2 million according to UNESCO.  The program also supports over 80,000 cooks and 1 million farmers. 300,000 poorest families receiving cash of 5,000 a month, 350,000 market women receiving loans and grants, 200,000 N power graduates employed, over 20,000 youths in skills training programs, among others.
Vice President Osinbajo’s team has overseen the 24 position improvement on the World bank Ease of doing Business rankings.
VP Osinbajo has been described by the President as a colleague and a very reliable brother. He has been described by the senate as a stabilizer. The national Economic team consisting of all State Governors, the heads of major organs such as the Central bank, the Civil service and others have described his leadership as the best the Council has ever experienced.
VP Osinbajo also earned the President’s confidence to sit over the chairmanship of the committee aimed at ending the issues the herdsmen farmers crises.  This is clearly a Biblical Mordecai function where the King empowered Mordecai to oversee a committee in the land to end the threats against the people.
Before serving as Vice President, Osinbajo was a Senior advocate of Nigeria, a professor of Law and a Pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God. His General Overseer Pastor EA Adeboye described Osinbajo as one of the most reliable leaders in the Church, and someone you could hand a task over to and go to sleep.
Yemi Osinbajo is a testimony to the fact that in Nigeria Good Character can earn a person high office and other forms of success.
